2021.10.17 04:48 BellaRosalina93 Freaks 1932!

So not a scary, edge of your seat thrasher or demonic movie but it is really good! It’s suspenseful, there’s plenty of drama and it’s pretty funny! I’m actually really happy this movie isn’t like banned or destroyed like I thought! If you have HBO max or have a friend who has it, it’s so worth it! I do have to say if you are part of the trans community it might be offensive I can’t speak on that behalf but it is something that goes get brought up, but it is 1932 unfortunately that was the times, I mean they’re all referred to as freaks and I definitely see where AHS got the inspiration. I thought I would mention it to people who are sensitive to that subject or maybe just not in the right head space for that kind of commentary as there’s a half man half woman who is subject to jokes.

2021.10.17 04:48 Rex01303 Just got a switch oled and I have a few questions

So I got a switch oled today and my brother in law is buying my old switch from me. Can I set up the oled as my primary switch but still have my profile on the old switch and have it were he can still play my downloaded games? I assume yes as long as he is using wifi. And if I buy a new game will it download on his switch? He will be on my family plan too if that helps matters.

2021.10.17 04:48 jztheman Shrimp Life

Oh yeah. Being a shrimp might not seem all that sweet, but anyone who knows the real deal about crustaceans knows that shrimp life isn't just a lifestyle. It's a mindset. A disposition. And the best way to live at the bottom of the sea! That's right, while landlubber humans think they're all that driving around SUVs, shrimp cruise on the ocean floor with sweet swimmerets and they sport mighty powerful tails that fling them backward in epic rapid fashion. Heck, the mantis shrimp is one of the fastest swimmers in the sea—clipping along at a mighty 30 body lengths per second. You try pulling off the equivalent of that in your Hyundai Santa Fe on the I40 and just see how well that goes for you!
So, whaddya think? That's our tease, of course, for you to try out our Adult Shrimp Costume this Halloween. Maybe you already had plans to be a shrimp for the costume party, or maybe you just accidentally happened across this page. Either way—it's about to be your time to try out shrimp life!

2021.10.17 04:48 Kell_Brusaao [Fan Fic] – The Return

[Fan Fic] – The Return
My land was a land of peace, fertility and plenty. It was a simple life, a life filled with all the quiet richness one could ask for, family, friends and our ever-present mother Gaia, guiding our hand in harmony. She allowed life to flow from within her, to nourish our bodies, bless us with the jewel and fill our souls with a deep connection to the spirit within. It was a paradise.
But there will always be those who cannot simply be. Those who are not so easily appeased by being given all that they could ever desire. They heard the siren’s song of a strange path, the mechanized hum of a different world, calling to them. And so, our one world became two and two became many. The machines made from man grew into unrecognizable beasts of metal and oil, burning hot fires deep within their bellies, clawing at our mother’s fertile green gardens, consuming the jewel for petty gain and mirthless baubles, spewing fumes to choke dear Gaia and those who still believed.
We believed there was land enough. We believed there was time enough. We believed they would see the folly of their ways and to return to us. But their hunger for jewel had changed them, their ravenous quest for more and the age of progression had warped their minds. Greed and guile sprang from their hearts as did the cities of dust, ash and fire that spread like a plague across the plains.
Gaia wept.
She cried for her children she knew to be lost, and she cried for her children that could still hear her voice and what they would be asked to do. An unspeakable request for any mother to ask, but the words needn’t be said.
The wise and the young, the keepers of our stories, our wisdom and lore and the hope for our future were called to the inner grove. Their path was not to fight, but to live to tell the tale, start anew in a place that could never be harmed by the avarice of man.
The swords we had beaten into ploughshares in my father’s youth, we’re beaten once again into swords. We humble farmers, foragers and fishermen of the fold answered the calling of the emerald path. We became knights, warriors, and priests of the battlefield, fighting for our lands and lives. They called us savages – thieves, pirates and monks of a forgotten era – unwilling to evolve and let progress take its course.
Wars raged, blood was shed, we laid our friends to rest in the fields we played upon as children.
Irae, the old god, the wrathful, long slumbering had awoken and saw what man had done to his true love Gaia, her pockmarked body, slashed and torn, withering on the vine. He took no pity, nor care for which side a man stood upon. Vengeance was his only regard.
Continents shook and were torn asunder. Cities crumbled back to the dust from whence they came. Metal machines, we once saw as titans, law strewn about like the corpses of broken toys. Irae’s fury would never truly be sated, but his rage turned to tears and the seas swelled and crashed upon the shores. It was over.
Those who remained were changed, broken, scattered to the winds. The age of progression had become the age of survival. There were hard times. Lean times. Knowing the old ways is what saved us after all. People of all walks saw this, and thus began the return. Those of us that were left had the wisdom and fortitude to put down our blades and reach out an open hand.
Gaia began to heal. Jewel gardens began to thrive. The skies cleared and the rolling green fields were finally fertile once again.
I am an old man now, and although it feels as though millennia have passed, it’s simply been the many lives I’ve lived drifting through my fingers like grains of sand… but what bittersweet and beautiful grains of sand they’ve been.
Through the years, I’ve often taken solace in knowing that the best of my people we’re spared from what we that remained endured. It hardened our hearts. It changed us and I think she always knew it would. The knowledge that they were safe kept us going, kept me going, so many times, when none of us had a reason to carry on. It was always my hope that one day I’d live long enough to know what had become of those in the inner grove and that Gaia could forgive us for all the things we’ve done.
I can hear her every now and again, faintly, softly, singing in the distance, a mournful tune of love and loss. The druids say there have been signs atop the summoning hill. Perhaps my wish will come true after all. Perhaps the age of heroes has begun.

2021.10.17 04:48 Pariux Inu Shoushou is a reference to Hachiko

If you have played the Thoma Hangout event, you would know that there's a dog named Inu Shoushou who refuses to leave the last spot they saw their owner. Although the time since he last saw his owner isn't disclosed in the hangout event, I personally believe that this is a reference to the dog Hachiko from Japanese pop culture. The tale of Hachiko is about a dog who would meet their owner every day for years at Shibuya station. This was until one day, his owner died Cerebral hemorrhage in 1925. The dog continued to wait at Shibuya station for over 9 years before passing away as well.

I am unsure as to whether this is a coincidence, or on purpose by the developers. Feel free to learn more about Hachiko on the wikipedia page!
